Limitations
Because of the nature of the HDPE Rod, it is very difficult to bond using adhesives, there may be adhesives on the market to bond HDPE and we would advise contacting an adhesive specialist to get their advice.
HDPE Welding Rod
HDPE Rod can be welded succesfully using quite inexpensive plastic welding equipment and welding wire which must be HDPE. We would advise contacting plastic welding equipment suppliers to get their expert advise.
HDPE Threading
Because HDPE Rod does not have the highest tensile strength of the engineering plastics range, it can be threaded to produce a screw thread by either tap and die or screw cutting but this tread will not be overly strong and will not provide a very strong anchor point.
